Dorset Police Back At Scene Of Fatal Hit And Run

Police investigating the death of a pensioner in Poole have been questioning drivers.

Officers carried out road checks on Darby Lane between 6.45 pm and 8 pm Friday night (10th January), trying to find anyone with information on the death of Christopher Colgate.

The 69 year old grandfather was walking along Darby Lane at the junction of Heath Avenue at 7.25 pm on Friday December 13th last year when he was involved in a collision. He was left injured in the road and later died in Poole Hospital.

The vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.
