Gang Attack And Rob Teenager

Bournemouth detectives are looking for a gang who attacked and robbed a teenager.

It happened in the Bournemouth Gardens between 1am and 2am on Saturday 10 August.

An 18-year-old Bournemouth man was approached by six or seven men as he stood outside the Halo club having a cigarette. They encouraged him to go with them into Bournemouth Gardens where he was punched in the face and his mobile phone was stolen.

Detective Constable Jo Shewbridge, of Bournemouth CID, said:

"This frightening incident left the victim shocked and distressed and it was fortunate that he was not injured. 

"I am appealing for witnesses and anyone with information about the men responsible to contact the police."

The men are described as white except for one who is believed to be of North African appearance. All were aged between 18 and 22 years old and two of them had blonde hair. 

DC Shewbridge continued:

"I urge anyone who saw this group of men around the area of the café near to the balloon, at the time of the robbery, to come forward.

"I welcome any information that can assist with the investigation."

No arrests have been made.
