Dad of four rescues young girl who was almost swept under a ferry.

It’s being reported that the 11 year old from Southampton was paddling off a beach in Poole when she got pulled out to sea by strong currents.

Her rescuer spotted her floating near to the Studland Chain Ferry and jumped into the busy harbour to get her. He managed to pull her to safety just minutes after her bodyboard was sucked under the boat.

It’s claimed her mum, Sue said: “If he hadn’t jumped in I hate to think what would have happened. I gave him a big hug and a kiss – he’s definitely our hero.”
