Hit And Run In Poole

Officers appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a hit and run in Poole.

A cyclist was hit by a vehicle along Alder Road near the junction of South Park Road, at around 7.15am on Friday 19 October 2012.

The driver of the vehicle didn't stop at the scene or leave any details.

The cyclist suffered a broken right wrist and deep cuts to both hands.

Police Constable Jamie Griffin, of Dorset Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision and anyone who may have details about the other vehicle involved, to contact me urgently.

“I would also urge the driver in question to do the right thing and speak with the police.

“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
