Hospital Redevelopment Plans Approved
Multi-million pound plans to redevelop Christchurch Hospital have been given the go-ahead.
Proposals from the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals Trust had been refused at an earlier meeting but the council agreed to revised plans at a meeting on Thursday.
It means services at the hosptial will be retained including the Macmillan Unit, blood services and outpatients.
There will be a new GP surgery and living accommodation for patients' families.
The trust says it is likely to create 80 new jobs and boost the local economy by £30 million.
