Police now think human remains found at the Meyrick Park Golf Club in Bournemouth are a man who went missing from the town three years ago.
Officers were called last Monday lunchtime (31 March) and searched woodland in the area. An adult arm and hand had been found by a dogwalker.
At 12.30 on Tuesday officers found more remains high up in a tree.
Today (Monday 7 April) a Dorset Police spokesperson said:
"It is believed that this is the body of missing person Jurij Sliachtecov.
"He was a 21-year-old missing from Bournemouth since 29 April 2011.
"Next of kin and the coroner have been informed but formal identification is yet to take place."
Jurij Sliachtecov, of St. Peters Road in Bournemouth, was reported missing just before 5pm on Sunday 1 May 2011, and was last seen on Friday 29 April 2011.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said:
"Dorset Police suspect that the person committed suicide however it is a matter for the Coroner who will determine the exact cause of death.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious."
