An inquest's heard how the bodies of a father and his young son were found together.
Chris Hall and the 6-year-old - who was also called Chris - were discovered earlier this month by the boy's mother Rachel at a house in Poole on August the 18th.
Post mortems were carried out but they failed to show exactly how they died. There's been speculation that Chris may have given his son a fatal dose of insulin before drugging himself but that's not been confirmed, and further tests will be needed to confirm the cause of their deaths.
Chris and Rachel had recently split up and the hearing was told it had left Chris incredibly upset. It's thought he was also worried about losing his son in a custody battle.
Police aren't looking for anyone else in connection with their deaths.
The inquest was opened and adjounred - there'll be a full hearing at a later date.
