Inquiries Into Claims Of Car Vandalism

Police are appealing for witnesses after allegations that six cars were damaged near Weymouth.

Officers say it happened around 5.50am on Thursday 25th April 2013 along Chickerell Road in the Westham area of Weymouth; with reports that all the vehicles targeted had their wing mirrors ripped off and damaged.

Police Constable Adrian Walker, of Weymouth police, said: "This alleged spate of criminal damage will no doubt cause the car owners great inconvenience and expense. I would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed these incident take place, or may have details about those responsible.

"Anyone with information is urged to call Dorset Police on the non-emergency number 101".

A 19-year-old man from Dorchester has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and released on police bail until late May 2013.
