Jobs Going At Weymouth Sea Life Tower!

Jobs with guaranteed 'ups' and 'downs' are being offered in Weymouth.

Merlin Entertainments, the company behind the new Weymouth Sea Life Tower, is inviting applicants for half-a-dozen posts as ride operators...some full-time, some part-time.

"It's a dream job for anyone who enjoys a good view," said General manager Craig Dunkerley.

"The successful applicants will be climbing to a height of around 50 metres dozens of times each day."

The post calls for more than just a head for heights, however, for the ride operators will also have to be able to describe key landmarks and recount fascinating facts and statistics about the famous Jurassic Coast.

The viewing gondola of the new Tower, set to open early July, will effectively be their office.

Carrying up to 70 passengers at a time, the Gondola is expected to be operating at full capacity for most of the summer...and especially when the Olympic sailing events get underway at the end of July.

The observation pod will carry about 70 people

"The Tower will off a birds-eye view of the action unlike anything ever available to sailing enthusiasts before," said Craig.

Merlin is also looking to recruit a similar number of 'welcome hosts' to meet and greet passengers, take their fares and usher them on board, and a part-time finance officer.

Anyone keen to get their head in the clouds should visit www.merlincareers.com and submit their application.
