Local Elections: Hampshire And Dorset Results

Local council election results across the South Coast.

In Portsmouth, Mike Hancock lost his council seat to UKIP's Julie Swan. He was standing as an independent after being suspended from the Lib Dems.

Mr. Hancock wasn't at the count last night. His wife Jacqui also lost her seat to UKIP in Charles Dickens Ward.

In Portsmouth - the Lib Dems lost to No Overall Control (NOC).

Elsewhere, Labour held Southampton, Eastleigh stays Lib Dem and the Tories held Havant, Gosport and Fareham.

The Conservatives lost Purbeck to No Overall Control.

The count starts later in Winchester, and over in Weymouth and Portland.
