Man Attacked Outside Takeaway

Police in Poole are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an assault in the Ashley Cross area of the town.

The incident, in which three men attacked a 25-year-old man, happened outside the Golden Kebab takeaway on Commercial Road at around 1.35am on Saturday, 10 September 2011.

The victim, from Bournemouth, was treated at Poole Hospital for cuts and bruising to his face.

Police Constable Simon Young, of Poole police, said: “I understand that the area around the takeaway was quite busy at this time and I am hopeful that someone may have seen this attack.

“Anyone who witnessed an altercation in this area, and anyone with any information about the three men responsible, should contact me as soon as possible.

“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”

One of the attackers is white, of a stocky build and around five feet nine inches tall. It is believed that he was wearing light-coloured trousers and a checked shirt.
