Man Remanded Over Jade Clark Death Crash
A man accused of causing the death of Ringwood teenager Jade Clark in a crash has pleaded not guilty at Bournemouth Magistrates.
58-year-old Brian Hampton from Kent denies causing death by careless driving.
He didn't enter a plea for nine other charges including failing to stop and driving while disqualified.
16-year-old Jade died after a crash involving a Volvo XC90 as she rode her moped along the A31 near Ashley Heath, ten miles north of Bournemouth, at 8.23pm on Sunday February 24.
Hampton was arrested at his home in Shadoxhurst near Ashford last week and police seized a car.
He appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates' Court on Monday March 25th by video link and was remanded in custoody until 22nd April.
After further magistrates hearings, the case will be committed to Bournemouth Crown Court.
