Detectives in Weymouth say the death of a man in the Melcombe Regis area wasn't suspicious.
The 44-year-old fell on Turton Street, near to the Duke of Albany pub at around 8pm on Sunday 2 September 2012.
He sustained a life threatening injury to his head, and later died in hospital.
A 25-year-old man from Weymouth was arrested in connection with the incident, but after it was declared the victim died from natural causes - he's now been released without charge.
Detective Inspector Stewart Dipple of Weymouth CID, said: “This is a very sad incident and we were keen to establish the facts."
