Man Hurt In Hit And Run In Bournemouth

Police in Boscombe are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a fail to stop collision in the Ashley Road area of the town.

At around 2.20pm on Tuesday 1 May 2012, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Ashley Road, near to the junction with Windham Road, which then drove off immediately without stopping.
 
The pedestrian, a 47-year-old man from Bournemouth, escaped with minor injuries, but was unable to get any details of the vehicle or driver.
 
Police Constable David Hassell, of Bournemouth Police said: “The man was struck while crossing the road from the Kings Parkside. In the collision he hit the bonnet and the windscreen.
 
“The only information we have is that the car isbelieved to be a silver Peugeot.
 
“We are asking for anyone to come forward whowitnessed the incident. We are interested in locating the vehicle involved soany information is appreciated”.
