Man Suffers Head Injuries In Attack

Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after an alleged assault in the Boscombe area of the town.

The incident happened at approximately 4pm on Thursday 3 May 2012 at the junction of Christchurch Road and Adeline Road.
 
The victim, a 48-year-old man from Bournemouth, travelled on a skateboard along Boscombe High Street heading in the direction of Bournemouth. 

When he had reached the junction of Christchurch Road and Adeline Road a man allegedly approached him from behindand assaulted him causing him to fall to the ground unconscious.
 
The offender then reportedly ran back to a waiting car which drove off.
 
The victim was taken to Poole Hospital as he had suffered head injuries.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, to contact police as soon as possible. 

Two 19-year-old Bournemouth men were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
