Man's Collarbone Broken In Assault

A man's had his collarbone broken in an attack outside a pub, in Bournemouth.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after the man was assaulted in the Eastcliff area of the town.

It happened some time between 11pm and 11.15pm on Saturday 13 July outside The Portman Hotel on Ashley Road.

The victim, a 36-year-old Bournemouth man, was approached by the offender and assaulted suffering a broken collarbone and a possible fracture to his jaw.

Detective Constable Siobhan Lovering, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said:

"This was a nasty attack on a man outside a pub situated on a busy main road.

"Although this assault happened late at night, I am confident there may be someone who saw this incident take place, or may have information about those responsible.

"I am particularly keen to speak with a woman who came forward and helped the victim after the attack.
