Monkey World Wants Your Old Blankets!

Dorset's Monkey World is after some more blankets to keep their 240-plus apes and monkeys warm this winter!

Monkey World are also running a fantastic special promotion during February half term so that every child under 16 who brings a towel or blanket for the primates enters the park for just £1 (when accompanied by a full paying adult). This offer is available from Monday 13th to Sunday 19th February and adult tickets are just £11.00.

"Although each primate has access to heated indoor enclosures, as well as extensive outdoor spaces all day, every day at the centre, many choose to shelter or make comfy beds with the linen", explains Sarah Lambert, marketing manager at Monkey World, "The monkeys and apes use donated towels and blankets in a variety of ways - some make beds or hammocks with them, others play tug-of-war or cosily wrap themselves up in them - and the capuchin monkeys use them as trampolines!"

The Monkey World staff will be pleased to take your donation from you and, you never know, you may spot one of the primates snuggling up in your very own blanket!
