Murder Investigation In Dorchester

Detectives at Dorset Police have launched a murder investigation following an incident in Dorchester where a 48-year-old man died after sustaining serious head injuries.

Dorset Police were called to an incident at 17-18 High East Street, Dorchester at 8.40am on Tuesday, 9 November 2010.

The victim died at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester later that day.

Dorset Police CID and major crime investigation team are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Three men, aged 41, 47 and 54 were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody, helping police with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Marcus Hester, of Weymouth CID, said:

“I’m appealing for any witnesses to this incident which occurred between 11.45pm on Monday, 8 November, and 8.15am on Tuesday, 9 November, to come forward as soon as possible.

“Anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help us with our investigation.”
