Police Investigate Two-Car Crash Near Bridport

Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a road traffic collision in Melplash, between Bridport and Beaminster.

The incident, in which a silver Daihatsu Charade collided with a silver Vauxhall Astra, happened at about 12.55pm on Thursday 6 March 2014, on the A3066 outside of the Half Moon Inn.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra and the passengers in the Daihatsu Charade sustained minor injuries.

Police Constable Sara Mackay, of Bridport police, said:

“I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police.

“I am particularly keen to talk to the driver of a black van, who wasn’t involved in the collision but may be able to provide some information.

“I would also like to hear from anyone else who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision itself.”

No arrests have been made.
