Police Patrols To Tackle ASB

29 June 2010, 05:30

Special police cars will tackle anti-social behaviour in Bournemouth and Poole this summer.

Three dedicated anti-social behaviour (ASB) cars will patrol areas regularly affected by anti-social behaviour, such as West Howe, Rossmore and Boscombe.

The cars will be active on Friday and Saturday evenings until the end of August.

Acting Chief Inspector Ashley Adams, who is leading the operation, said: “This approach has been successfully used in other police forces around the UK, resulting in a reduction in incidents of anti-social behaviour."

“ Here, they will be able to support repeat victims of anti-social behaviour and quickly identify and deal with the offenders."

If you are concerned about anti-social behaviour in your area, then call Dorset Police on 01202 222 222.
