Poole Shop Robbed At Knifepoint

Detectives in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a robbery at a shop in the Creekmoor area of town.

The incident, in which three men threatened members of staff with a large knife before taking a quantity of cash, happened at the Co-op Welcome store on Creekmoor Lane at about 6.50am on Wednesday, 17 August 2011.

No one was hurt.

Detective Constable Jo Shewbridge, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “The offenders were wearing coverings on their heads and hands, and manhandled members of staff while threatening them with a knife.

“They then took a quantity of cash – the amount of which is not being released.

“The offenders left the scene in a car toward Longmeadow Drive.

“I am appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in this area, to contact me urgently.

“Anyone who has any information about those responsible should contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.”
