A lorry carrying 100 bales of straw caught fire in Sixpenny Handley on Monday.
Around 30 firefighters were called to put out the fire near Handley Cross roundabout which started around 2:30pm.
The Environment Agency also attended the incident to deal with a spillage of diesel and the road was re-opened at 9pm.
The cause of the fire was not deliberate but is still unknown.
