Teenagers Get Stuck Up To Thighs In Mud
27 February 2014, 07:57
Two teenagers have been rescued by fire crews after becoming trapped in mud in Dorchester.
A spokesperson for Dorset Fire and Rescue said:
At 5.33pm the Service was alerted to a teenage boy and girl who had got into difficulties whilst dog walking off Peverell Avenue East.
An area of land had patches of deep mud between patches of hard standing and the two teenagers became stuck up to their lower thighs in the mud.
An on-call crew from Dorchester attended and firefighters were able to get close enough on areas of hard standing to pull them out manually.
They were reunited with their families, safe and unharmed.
With the rainfall we have had recently and the saturation of the ground, all walkers should take extreme care, especially if walking away from designated routes and paths.
