Teenager's Jaw Broken In Bournemouth

Police are investigating an attack on a 15 year old boy by the Pier in Bournemouth town centre.

The boy was punched in the face and left with two fractures to his jaw on Saturday evening (April 21st). He was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment. 

Detective Constable Steve Griffin from Bournemouth police, said:

“This is a very nasty attack on a young lad who has suffered a broken jaw and is undergoing surgery as a result. 

“The victim was with friends and the offender was part of another group."
 
Officers say the attacker was white, about 18 years old, of a heavy build, about six feet tall with short blond hair. He was wearing a black hooded top and blue jeans.
 
Detective Constable Griffin added:

“I urge anyone with any information to call 101 in complete confidence.”
