Three Cyclists Hit By Car And Badly Hurt In New Forest

A driver's been arrested after three cyclists were hit by a car and badly injured in the New Forest.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the serious collision in Brockenhurst on Saturday (27 September).
 
A dark coloured Aston Martin was in collision with three cyclists on the A337 at about 4.50pm.
 
All three cyclists – a 68-year-old man, a 58-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl - sustained serious injuries. Two of the injured people were flown to hospital by air ambulance and the third was taken by road. The driver was not injured.
 
A 28-year-old man from Lymington has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released on bail until 25 November, pending further enquiries.
 
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the car involved prior to the incident, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit by calling 101 and quoting Operation Fama.
