Two Pensioners Seriously Injured In Collision

Two pensioners are being treated in hospital after a collision with a car on a busy Poole road.

The accident happened on a crossing in Lower Blandford Road in Broadstone at around 11.39am Friday 5th July. The women, both thought to be in their 70's were involved in a collision with a blue Honda Civic, driven by a 78 year old local man.

Part of Lower Blandford Road was closed for paramedics to treat the women and they were then taken to Poole hospital.

Police say the women's injuries are serious and are asking for witnesses to come forward.
