A cyclist is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Redbourn, Herts.
The 59-year-old man and another cyclist were on the A5183 Redbourn bypass at the junction with Luton Lane when they were struck by a silver Vauxhall Zafira at a quarter to eight on Wednesday evening.
He was taken to St Mary;s Hospital in London for treatment. He is currently in a critical but stable condition.
The second cyclist, who is 28 years old, also suffered injury however was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital in Bedfordshire. He is currently in a stable condition.
Bob Hauxwell, from Hertfordshire's Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I am currently trying to establish the circumstances of this incident and would appeal to anyone who saw it to get in touch with me as soon as possible using the police non-emergency number 101."
