Arrests after two women assaulted

Detectives in Luton have arrested three men in connection with an assault on two women in the town and are renewing their appeal for witnesses.

The women, both aged 20, were knocked unconscious during the incident in Bute Street in the early hours of Sunday morning on October 3rd.

Officers received a report at 3.45am and attended the scene in Bute Street were they found the two victims who were taken to hospital.

The girls had just finished work and were on their way to collect some food when they became involved in an argument with three men and were assaulted.

Two men aged 19 and a 20 year old, all from the London area, has all been released on police bail pending further investigations.

The officer in charge of this investigation, Detective Constable Tom Hamm, is keen to trace anyone who was out during the early hours of Sunday, October 3 and who witnessed either the argument or assaults.
