Body Of Teen Girl Found On Tracks

British Transport Police have been dealing with the discovery of a body on the railway line at Berkhamsted Station this morning.

Officers were called at 6.15 this morning - the death is currently being treated as "unexplained".

East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene but the person, believed to be a teenage girl from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

British Transport Police say,  “Officers are currently working to establish the full circumstances leading up to her death, including how she came to be by the track, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
 
The East of England Ambulance Service were alerted to Berkhamsted train station at 6.20am and crews from Hemel, Tring and Watford attended the scene. 

Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the girl’s family at this tragic time.”
