Police are appealing for witnesses after damage was caused to a car travelling on the A414 from Hemel Hempstead in the direction of St Albans, on Saturday, April 20th.
A silver BMW hatchback was travelling on the A414 at approximately 2.15pm when an object was thrown from the first footbridge, which goes over the road, hitting the car’s windscreen.
The windscreen was broken as a result causing around £250 worth of damage.
Investigating officer, PC Peter Austin, said: “Thankfully the driver was not injured, although she was understandably shaken. The incident took place in the early afternoon and the A414 is a busy road so it is possible someone may have seen something suspicious. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything which they believe would be of assistance to the investigation to contact me on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the crime reference number F3/13/612.”
