Police in Dunstable have released CCTV of a man they want to question in connection with a robbery at the NISA store in Neptune Square, Houghton Regis last week on Thursday (13th January).
The offender entered the store just before 8pm holding a knife and demanded money from the till attendant. He sat on the till desk and began to help himself to cash before the manager came over from the back of the store and challenged him.
The offender threatened the manager with the knife when then retreated to the back of the store as the offender began to help himself to the cash from a second till. The offender then fled the store on foot towards Trident Drive.
He is described as a white man, who at the time of the offence was wearing a black balaclava and scarf over his face. He was also wearing black tracksuit bottoms with a double white stripe down each leg and a dark green long coat with a fur hood lining.
Detective Sergeant Graham McMillan, investigating said, “Thankfully nobody was hurt during the incident, however the use of a weapon is very serious and we want to track down this offender quickly. We are very keen to speak to anyone who was in the store or in the immediate area at the time of the offence. We would also like to hear from anyone who recognises the offender or who may have seen him in the local area after the robbery.”
