Elderly Man Attacked And Robbed

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a robbery in Hitchin on Sunday (May 1).

At around 11.05pm two offenders approached an elderly man in Hollow Lane. They pushed him to the floor and demanded his wallet. The man handed over his wallet and the offenders ran away.

The victim, a man in his late 60s, received slight injuries to his shoulder during the incident.

DC Craig Blake said: “I would like to speak to any witnesses to this incident and in particular anyone who can help identify two white men hanging around the back area of the disused Mother Brown nightclub at the time of the offence.”
