Teen Assaulted On Way To School

Police in Luton are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 14 year old student was assaulted on Tuesday, May 17, as she was making her way to school.

The incident happened at approximately 8.25am as the victim was walking out of an alleyway at the junction of Old Bedford Road and Cromer Way.

A man grabbed the girl by the wrist and tried to pull her back in to the alley before assaulting her.

The victim began to cry and the offender then ran from the scene.

The offender is described as a white man, approximately 35 years old, 5’10” tall, wearing dark jeans and a brown hooded top.  He spoke with a deep voice and a local accent.

PC Simon Norman, investigating, is keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident or anyone who may have noticed a man matching this description in the area that morning.
