A couple have been dragged from their car, punched and robbed while they drove through Heath and Reach.

Police say it happened on Thursday at around 10pm.

The 30 year old male victim was driving along Overend, Green Lane in Heath and Reach, with his 26 year old girlfriend in the car.

The pair who were in a green Volkswagen Golf were forced off the road by the driver of a silver 4x4 vehicle.

Three men then got out of the 4x4, pulled the victim from the car and assaulted him while demanding money.

The female victim was also pulled out of the car and punched in the face by one of the offenders who took her mobile phone.

Her boyfriend then handed over cash and his mobile phone to the offenders who got back in their vehicle and drove off.

Both victims were taken to Milton Keynes Hospital for treatment to facial injuries.

Detective Constable Cathy Layton, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the 4x4 following the green Volkswagen Golf before the robbery took place or from anyone who may have seen the offenders fleeing afterwards.

The driver of the silver 4x4 is described as being a white male, around five feet eight inches and of portly build.
