A film celebrating the night Tom Cruise went for a curry in St Albans is going to feature at the city's first Film Festival.
Cruise's Indian meal made showbiz headlines in August 2012 and organisers of the inaugural St Albans Film Festival say an entry in their short-film competition focuses on the Veer Dhara restaurant's night to remember.
"One entry in the music video category is set in the Indian restaurant where Tom Cruise was seen eating,'' said festival director Leoni Kibbey. "Everyone in the film is wearing a Tom Cruise mask. It's very funny.''
Reports last year said Cruise was in Hertfordshire working on his latest film, All You Need is Kill, and ordered lobster and chicken tikka masala.
Miss Kibbey says the festival - which runs between 8 & 10 March 2013 - will celebrate Hertfordshire's historic links with the film industry and give budding film-makers a showcase.
Director Stanley Kubrick lived in the St Albans area, film pioneer Arthur Melbourne-Cooper was born in St Albans and the Pinewood and Elstree studios are nearby.
