Fire Murder: Man In Court

A man's appeared in court, charged with murdering a 63 year old found dead after a housefire in Hemel Hempstead.
A post-mortem examination's revealed Thomas Baird died of stab wounds to his chest and other injuries to his head and neck.
Emergency services were called to his home on Westerdale, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire at 12.06am on Saturday 2 March 2013.
James Carbott, 30, from Epping Green, Hemel Hempstead, was charged with murder by detectives from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, on the advice of the Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service.
He appeared at Hatfield Magistrates Court on Tuesday 5 March 2013, where he was remanded in custody before a further hearing on Wednesday 6 March.
Flowers and messages of condolence have been left outside Thomas Baird's home.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Ross from Hertfordshire Constabulary, who is leading the investigation, said: “[Mr Baird's] family are understandably extremely upset by the events [over the] weekend and we are providing support to them."
