Hertfordshire Post Office Held Up By Gunman

A man has used a hand gun to try a rob a Post Office in the quiet Hertfordshire Village of Willian near Letchworth.
He went into the shop on Friday afternoon (11th April) at around 4pm and demanded money from the man standing behind the counter.
The worker pressed the panic button and the robber ran away empty handed in the direction of Lordship Cottages, continued up a track towards woodland and from then on in an unknown direction.
He's described as a white man, of slim build, around 5 feet 8 tall, in his late teens or early twenties.
He was reported to be wearing a dark tracksuit and a black balaclava.
Detective Sergeant Nev Hanks said:
"We are doing everything we can to find the person responsible. I am appealing to anyone who may have information about this crime to come forward. "
