Knifepoint Robbery In Leighton Buzzard

Police in Leighton Buzzard are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 63 year old woman was forced to hand over her handbag at knife point on May 23.
The incident happened on Riverside Walk at 4.15pm when the victim was taking a short cut home along the footpath.
The victim walked past a man who began to follow her before he stopped her and threatened her with a knife, demanding her handbag.
The victim handed over the bag and the man took her purse containing a small amount of cash before leaving the scene.
The man is described as white, approximately 33 years old, 5’10” tall, wearing black trousers and a black jacket.
The officer in charge of this investigation, Detective Jabbar Khan, is keen to trace anyone who witnessed the robbery or anyone who saw a man matching this description in the area.
