The owner of a controversial lap-dancing club has upset local people even further by applying to extend its opening hours
Lord John Shayler who owns Shaylers Gentleman's Club in Ampthill wants to be able to stay open until 4am and serving alcohol until 3:30am.
But Councillor Paul Duckett says he's extremely concerned about the affect this would have on the town.
He's told Heart he doesn't think the club should have been allowed to open in the first place and he thinks extending the opening hours will lead to more trouble in the town.
He says he's going to fight against Lord Shaylers application:
"I'm telling everyone on the action groups to just write into Central Beds and object to it, it's not an appropriate timeline to be opening venues and having people wandering around the streets make noise, don't want it, its a residential area and people are fed up with it"
Central Bedfordshire Council are expected to make a decision on the application before the end of March.
Heart did not receive a response from Shaylers when asked to comment.
