Police are trying to find someone who broke up a fight in a Luton street that saw a man lose a tooth after being hit by what's thought to have been a metal bar.

Two men were involved in a row on the corner of Norman Road and Biscot Road at around 7.45pm on Saturday 10 March 2012 which resulted in the victim being hit.

A member of the public then intervened before the offender fled the scene and the victim called the police.

Bedfordshire Police are particularly keen to speak with the person who broke up the fight or with anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or seen the offender leaving the area.

The attacker is described as an Asian man, in his mid teens, around five foot six inches tall and of average build.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bedfordshire Police non-emergency number 101.
