A 24 year old man has been stabbed in the stomach in a large fight in Dunstable.
It happened at around 1:45am on Saturday (31st May) in Eleanor's Cross as between 30 and 40 people brawled.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment for the puncher wound but is not thought to have suffered any serious injury.
A 22 year-old woman also received injuries to her face and body.
Detective Constable James Wildman said:
"The victim of this assault was extremely lucky. He has suffered a very deep wound but thankfully the implement used as a weapon did not cause serious injury but it did require surgery.
“A lot of people were involved in this incident and I would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak with officers so we can locate the person or people responsible.”
