Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash

A 57 year old motorcyclist has died after he was involved in a road traffic accident on Sunday morning (July 24th)

The collision was on the A5120 Bedford Road, close to Thorne Road in Houghton Regis at 9.21am.

A Mercedes car had just completed a three point turn and began to travel along the road when it was in collision with a red Triumph motorcycle.

The driver of the car, a 30 year old woman, was uninjured but the motorcyclist died.

No further details of the deceased will be released until H M Coroner opens the inquest.

A full collision investigation is underway and the officer in charge of this investigation, PC David Clarke, is keen to trace anyone who saw the collision and who has not yet spoken with the police.
