Nine Year Old Injured In Halloween Hit And Run

A nine year old Trick or Treater has a fractured collar bone after she was hit by a driver in Slip End.

The girl was out with friends and adults at around 5:30pm when she was hit by a car on Markyate Road.

The group were using the pedestrian crossing at the junction by Front Street when the child was struck by a silver Ford Focus.

The driver, thought to be an elderly white man, didn't stop.

PC Mark West from Bedfordshire Police is keen to speak with anyone who can help identify the driver or anyone who can help trace the car.
