A 39 year old man was robbed at knifepoint in Luton on Wednesday morning (April 18).

The victim was walking away from High Town towards Wenlock Street at around 8.50am and as he reached the junction of Albion Road with High Town Road, two men approached him and threatened him with a knife.

He was forced to hand over his black canvas holdall which contained his X Box console and approximately 20 X Box games.

The first offender is described as a black man with a very dark complexion and wide nostrils.  He was between 20 - 30 years old, 5'10" - 6' tall with a stocky build. He wore a large stud in his right ear, a mid length black coat which had four pockets on the front, a black baseball hat, black jogging bottoms and black training shoes.

The second offender is described as a man with an Asian appearance, between 20 - 30 years old, 5'10" tall with a medium build. He had a well groomed slim goatee style beard which is described as having the appearance of being drawn on. He also had black hair which was shaved around the back and sides and was wearing a light weight beige coat.

The officer in charge of this investigation, Detective Constable Joanna Bosson, is keen to trace anyone who may have seen the robbery or anyone who may have been offered a cheap X Box and games for sale since Wednesday.

DC Bosson said: "The victim has no visible injuries after his ordeal but he was visibly shaken by what had happened to him.

"This incident happened in broad daylight whilst people were making their way to work so it is possible that members of the public may have seen the two offenders close to the scene and they may be able to help identify them."

She continued: "I would also like to trace anyone who has been offered a cheap X Box and games for sale since Wednesday and I would reassure anyone who has information which may help this investigation that they can talk to officers in complete confidence."
