A dog stolen in Norwich has been reunited with its owner after being found safe and well.

Max, a 14-month-old Dogue De Bordeaux, was taken from a garden in Hellesdon Road on Sunday 28 December.

A Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which was stolen at the same time, was found the following day (Monday 29 December) tied up behind PC World on the Sweet Briar Retail Park.

Max remained missing but thanks to appeals by Norfolk Constabulary and through social media he was recognised by a family on the Heathgate Estate area on New Year's Day (Thursday 1 January).

Max has now been returned to his owner and appears to be a little shaken but unharmed.
