Man In Court After Marthlesham Heath Murder

A 42 year old man's due in court this morning charged with murder after a woman was found dead in Martlesham Heath, near Ipswich.
Police were called to Lark Rise at around 8.55pm on Friday (13 June). A member of the public living in the road said there were concerns for a person living nearby whose family couldn't get a response from the house.
Officers attended the property and after gaining access found 39 year old Jane Bartholomew dead inside.
A post mortem examination confirmed that Jane died as a result of significant head injuries.
Police charged Scott Ellis from Tunstall Green in Tunstall, with murder on Saturday night.
Ellis is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court today.
