Man In Distress In Norwich Taken To Hospital

A man has been taken to hospital after police were called to reports of a man in a distressed state in Norwich.

Officers were called to a multi-storey car park in Queen's Road in the city shortly before 9.45pm last night (27 September). Trained negotiators were also called to assist and bring the situation to a peaceful end.

A cordon was put in place to allow emergency services including police, fire and ambulance to attend the area.

The male, believed to be in his early 50s, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for medical treatment around two hours later.
