Pedestrian Hit By Car Near Mildenhall

A woman has suffered serious injuries as a result of a collision in Beck Row.

Police were called by a member of the public shortly after 4:30pm yesterday to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the A1101 near to Rookery Drove.
 
A black Mercedes collided with a woman, aged in her 60s, who was walking on the pavement, causing her serious injuries.
 
The woman was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital by air ambulance and the male driver of the Mercedes was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, his injuries are not believed to be serious.
 
The road is currently closed whilst the Serious Collision Investigation Team carry out their investigation.
