Serious Sexual Attack In Norwich City Centre

Police have starged an investigation after reports of a serious sexual assault in Norwich.

The incident happened in the Dereham Road in the early hours of the morning on Saturday 11 October. It's alleged a woman in her 20's was the victim of a serious sexual assault.

Officers are keen to trace a black ladies evening style shoulder bag which may have been left on or near a car parked on Dereham Road near to the junction with Bowthorpe Road. The bag contained an iPhone, keys and personal documents.

It's believed the bag may be significant to the investigation and anyone who may have found the bag should contact DC Graham Finney at Bethel Street Police Station on 101.

A 21 year-old man from the Norwich area has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
