Two Charged After Elderly Woman Robbed In Thetford

A man and a woman have been charged after an 85-year-old woman was robbed at the weekend. .

It happened at around 2.40pm on Saturday in Croxton Road.

The woman was walking through the underpass when she was pushed over and had her handbag stolen, leaving her with two dislocated fingers and cuts.

After a search by police, a man and woman were arrested.

41-year-old Sergejs Mihailovs and 19-year-old Jana Mihailova were both charged with robbery and appeared in Bury St Edmunds Magistrate's court yesterday.
